To promote and enhance the vitality and positive growth of downtown Elizabeth City's business and professional community through seasonal and on-going promotions, educational opportunities, constructive projects and useful communication.
Elizabeth City's downtown merchants formed DBPA in the 1960s. It was believed then, as now, that by organizing and combining efforts, ideas and expertise, we could become a stronger force in the marketplace. We work as a team to develop and share ideas. Together, we expand our knowledge of our business neighbors enabling us to promote continued growth in our downtown business district.
We work together to make downtown Elizabeth City the most quaint, charming and economically productive downtown it can be! We join forces, we market together, we partner with each other, we play together, we learn with and from each other, and we grow stronger and better together.
If you own or operate a business of any kind in downtown Elizabeth City, it is worth your while to join this energetic and active organization!
